Background

We have spent our careers working in the retirement and life insurance industry. Today's retirees have too few choices. Life annuities are expensive and inflexible. Flexible drawdown is hard to manage. Who knows how much money you will need when you are 98?

We are determined to fix that with Goldbach's products.

Cory Zass

Founder / board advisor

Cory is a founder & chief strategist of Goldbach.

He also is the founder of Actuarial Risk.Management (ARM), which he has grown into a multinational consulting firm with an innovative business model. ARM includes the Argentina-based Data & Modeling (DMI) teams.

Cory is a member of the Society of Actuaries and a graduate of the University of Manitoba.

Richard Farr

founder / Chairman

Richard is a founder and CEO of Goldbach.

He is an experienced professional in the field of financial services and pension solutions. Before Goldbach he co-founded and led major initiatives at Swiss Re and PwC.

His work has significantly contributed to the development of the UK Pension Protection Fund's risk-based levy and the UK's Pension Regulator's original Clearance Guidance rules​.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a graduate of the University of Birmingham.

Antony Barker

FOUNDER / CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER

Antony is a founder and the head of business and commercial development at Goldbach.

He assisted in the set-up of Paternoster, one of first new bulk annuity entrants, and was seconded to the UK Government to create the Pension Protection Fund and personal accounts, now NEST, the UK’s largest DC arrangement. He created The Pension SuperFund and other alternative pension risk transfer solutions. He was the adviser to the United Nations Pension Fund.

Antony is a former actuary and Chief Investment Officer of one of the UK's largest pension funds.

Phil Ellis

FOUNDER / CFO

Phil is an actuary, and the CFO for Goldbach. He is responsible for the actuarial reporting, finances and systems of Goldbach.

Phil developed the financial, risk and control models underpinning Goldbach's products and has developed financial and risk systems for several large banks and insurance companies.

His work has contributed to the growth of insurance, pension and technology firms in both the UK and USA.

He is a member of the Society of Actuaries and a graduate of the University of Cambridge.
